Attention Program

A single attention track for adults 60+: a calm-alert baseline, the three attention phases, then focus carried back into daily life.

Attention Program illustration

What's included

  • A single Attention track designed for adults 60+
  • Five modules across the attention phases, with the Fragments puzzle (L1–L5) as the spine
  • 9 guided sessions, about one a week, plus a short daily home practice (~10–12 min)
  • Runs in the browser with no hardware required
  • Deliverable clinician-, caregiver-, or software-guided

How it works

The program runs as a single attention track for adults 60+. It opens by settling a calm-alert baseline, then works the three attention phases (selective, switching, and divided) through rising Fragments puzzle levels, before building a metacognitive "catch" for a wandering mind and carrying focus back into everyday tasks. Weekly guided sessions introduce and calibrate each technique; the real work is the short daily home practice between them, with light check-ins to keep the habit going.

  • A calm-alert baseline is designed to steady arousal before any phase-specific work
  • Rising Fragments levels target selective, switching, and divided attention in turn
  • A metacognitive "catch" reframes mind-wandering as noticing and returning, not failing
  • Weekly touchpoints plus daily home practice are built to sustain adherence

Program · 5-module series

Five modules across the attention phases, from a calm-alert baseline to working memory, with the Fragments puzzle (L1–L5) as the spine.

Module 1 · Entry

Sustained Attention

Orient the learner and build a sustainable calm-alert baseline before any phase-specific training: a self-attention rating, the Fragments L1 rotation puzzle, and Firefly Breath.

Sustained attentionCalm-alert regulation

Module 2 · Core

Selective Attention

Lock onto the target and let the rest fade, at Fragments L2, with full guided support at a moderate pace before it is gradually withdrawn.

Selective attention

Module 3 · Core

Switching/Alternating Attention

Shift attention between cues on demand at Fragments L3, at a gentle pace tuned for age-related processing-speed changes.

Switching/alternating attentionCognitive flexibility

Module 4 · Core

Divided Attention

Hold two things at once at Fragments L4, with low-pressure framing: the attempt is the training, not a perfect score.

Module 5 · Advanced

Working Memory

Keep information in mind while the demands stack up, with a working-memory challenge layered on top of the attention work.
